Spiritual Blindess?

Yesterday. Media and Conflict - Course Code A6903 - closed book exam. bummer. i lost 35 points and I don't know if its because of my  so-called "spiritual  blindness" (a  new term I learned from my Lao-gong) or just plain dumbness that I skipped one question. AARGH!!!  And my mind had a very hard time to absorb the stupid thought that it just dawned upon me and sunk into me a couple of hours after my exam. I couldn't even cry. I was just feeling sick inside. I played bejeweled for diversion. But of course it didn't work. Good thing my ever sweet and "stubborn" lao gong came to my rescue. Armed with a tub of a classic premium strawberry and vanilla ice cream, and my favorite choclit muffin from bread talk plus one pack of milo, and voila! I felt so much better right after! Of course, first and foremost because I got a lot of comforting hugs and encouraging words from my angel J. And yes, I've resolved to accept that these things happen just so when i come out victorious from all of these, one thing is for sure. It will be because of God's miraculous hands.  And as I leave it all up to Him, I am confident and I have faith that "all things work for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28). All for God's goodness and glroy! Thank you God for the comfort food and my comforting lao gong, most of all! PTL!

Today, my love treated me to a very nice lunch at Svensen's. I had beef stew and he had chicken cheese sumthin... he he he. Yummy! And once again, I had an ice cream treat! Banana split! Just go to my multiply site for the photos ok?  click this

First Exam

Media Management -  Course Code A6321 (open book exam) I didn't really study for it, but by God's grace, and wisdom, I think "I smoked through it"... he he he... God is sooo great! May God's will be done for me from today until the last day of my exam. May God's will be done all the days of my life!

An Email

From: Cherian George (Asst Prof)
Sent: Tue 4/24/2007 2:32 PM
Subject: Your term paper

A very good, well-researched and well-written analysis. Your point that the press can strive to be truthful even when the society around it is caught up in patriotic fervour is a very important one. The main weakness of the paper is that it focuses too much on the speeches themselves, and not enough on the coverage of the speeches, which is supposed to be your main topic. Also, please note that “randomly chosen” (in your methodology section) has a precise and formal meaning in social science. I don’t think you really followed the rules of random sampling, and if you did you should have stated so.

A (this letter was practically placed after the message above. I didn't realize that it is actually my grade, not until I asked my classmate if she got the same message with corresponding letter below the message.) lol!

Praise God!!! Considering that I submitted my Media Law, Ethics & Policy term paper two days after the deadline, I still got a good grade! My prof even emailed me saying that there would be deductions for late submission. Whew... This is indeed God's work! Although I just found out that the prof is relatively generous in giving grades, the fact that mine was late says a lot of God's miraculous hand, love and grace. All glory and honor to You Oh Lord!

Indeed, an answered prayer of my lao gong! Thank God for you my love.
